Introduction:

The ARRIS project is a condominium & retail project requiring year round cooling. The requirements on this project included heat rejection for all suites and retail units in a compact, quiet and efficient design.

Primary Design Considerations:

• Dry operation during freezing conditions
• Variable glycol flow
• Quiet operation
• Non-Chemical water treatment
• Automatic switchover between wet and dry operation

Solution and Equipment provided:

• Evapco SmartShield control panels provide automatic switchover between wet and dry operation of the coolers, while automatically determining the best method of operation for water savings, energy efficiency and capacity control.
• Evapco Pulse Pure provides chemical free water treatment.
• Evapco Super Low Sound Fans provide low sound output from the unit during operation.

The coolers, water treatment and control panels were commissioned in 2020.
