Rhiannon Evison
Often wearing a friendly smile, Rhiannon enjoys problem solving and puzzles; a quality which fuels her desire to assist industry colleagues and help them find solutions to their technical challenges.
Alberta born and raised, Rhiannon is a University of Calgary educated mechanical engineer currently employed as Technical Sales Engineer at Western Air & Power Ltd.
Rhiannon worked previously for 8 years as a mechanical design engineer/project manager at AECOM, where her focus was designing components of the Calgary International Airport (YYC) including new terminal, airport peripheral buildings and retrofits to the existing domestic terminal building. Rhiannon’s work experience and continuing education has earned her P.Eng. status with APEGA, LEED Accredited Professional status, a certification in project management and completion of Dale Carnegie Sales Training.
In April 2015, Rhiannon switched into her current sales role at Western Air & Power Ltd. Rhiannon’s attention is now aimed at assisting our customer engineers, contractors, owners with design and construction of various projects. She specializes in humidification systems, heat rejection via evaporative, adiabatic, dry cooling equipment and air conditioning systems. Rhiannon climbs cooling tower ladders like a ninja and willingly crawls around ceiling spaces or wherever her job requires to investigate or troubleshoot HVAC equipment.
Outside of work, Rhiannon loves the mountains and being outdoors. She spends most of her spare time skiing and travelling with her family, and her friends. Her mildly competitive spirit motivates her to compete in local golf tournaments and show jumping events with her horse Perry.
Sometime, while working on a project with Rhiannon, ask her about the time she competed in the 2007 Dodgeball World Championships in Las Vegas, NV.
